In this series of strategy games, I'd say that this is one of, if not, my favorite. I ended up restarting my first play through in order to beat it, because I'm not gonna lie, even knowing about the encirclement that happened during the war, it still happened faster than I was prepared for and lost a lot of my army. It's challenging, satisfying, and fun.

Another A+ from Joni. This is first defensive game I've played from the series, it didn't disapoint. If you are used to attacking blitzkrieg style it's easy to get discouraged in the beginning as your forces become overwhelmed. However, the interesting strategy in this game is pulling back in such away as to lead the Soviets into a trap by where they are over extended allowing a strong counter attack. Through their extended supply lines you can then encircle large portions of their spear-heads.
